The Best Skincare Routine for people with Busy Schedules
For a busy woman, life can be hectic as it could be filled with endless meetings, deadlines, and housework. Caring for the skin can be a bit challenging in such a scenario. With a few steps, you can get your skin glowing and radiant even in the case of tight schedules! Want to know how? Let’s have a look!
How do busy schedules impact your skin?
Busy schedules often leave little to no time for skin care routines. Often, this can lead to stress. Stress can increase the cortisol hormone levels, resulting in acne breakouts, hives and skin rashes.
Severe stress can often lead to inflammation and flare-ups, which are observed in Eczema, Rosacea, or Psoriasis. Such skin conditions can frequently affect an individual’s self-esteem, too.
How to manage your skin care routine with a busy schedule?
Let’s now discuss various ways to manage our skin whilst taking care of our schedule as well. Start with the basic skin care routine:
The 3 basic steps to keep our skin glowing and radiant would be: cleansing, toning, and moisturizing.
- Cleansing: Cleansing should be done at least twice a day to prevent breakouts and to ensure clear and smooth skin. Make sure to go for a gentle cleanser, especially if your skin is sensitive. Cleansing ensures that your face gets rid of excessive oil, dirt, or impurities and helps to keep skin glowing.
- Toning: Uneven skin tone or skin pigmentation can be caused due to excessive exposure to sunlight. This can lead to skin dullness as well. For proper skin toning, make sure to use gel cream moisturizer that has Vitamin C present in it. Exfoliation is another important part of skin toning. Simply use a cotton pad and dab your skin with the exfoliator.
- Moisturizing: The simplest way to moisturize your skin is to keep yourself hydrated. Ensure that you drink at least 2-3 liters of water daily. Go for an oil-free moisturizer that does not make your skin too greasy. Opt for a light-weight moisturizer and look out for ingredients like B5, Vitamin E, and Glycerin in the product to get long-lasting hydration.
Never forget to use sunscreen:
Even if you skip using moisturizer, make sure to never skip using sunscreen. Often, people travel for work, and this can lead to excessive sun exposure, which can cause uneven skin tone or even tan the skin.
To combat this issue and protect your skin, opt for sunscreen with at least SPF 30 and apply it gently on your face, hands, and neck. Reapply every 2 hours if possible.
Self-care during weekends:
Take time for your skin during weekends or holidays! Make sure to get at least 7-8 hours of sleep. Indulge in meditation, yoga, or even 30 minutes of any physical activity to reduce stress. Set aside some time to relax by putting on some music or indulging in hobbies like singing, dancing, etc. Remember, happy you, happy skin!
